How to Remove Feedback on Amazon

Amazon's feedback system benefits both buyers and third-party sellers, helping buyers make informed decisions and helping sellers build reputations. The company allows both parties to remove feedback in certain circumstances but restricts removal to ensure that the system is as fair as possible. Buyers can delete feedback within a specific timescale; sellers can ask Amazon to remove feedback that breaches company rules.

Removing Feedback as a Buyer
Amazon allows you to remove feedback for third-party sellers but sets conditions of removal. You can remove feedback only within 60 calendar days after leaving it, and you can't then post new feedback. From your Amazon account, select Personalization and then Seller Feedback Submitted by You. Go to the feedback you want to delete and select the Remove link. If you don't see a link, you're outside the 60-day window and can't delete the feedback.

Removing Feedback as a Seller
Sellers can't remove buyer feedback, but you can ask Amazon to delete posts in some circumstances. For example, the company may remove feedback that contains obscenities or personal information that identifies you. It also removes posts that are just product reviews with no service comments. If Amazon fulfilled an order for you and you get negative feedback about shipping, the company may agree to amend the feedback to clarify that you weren't responsible for this part of the process.

To ask for feedback removal, email Amazon Seller Support. If the feedback you want to remove doesn't meet removal criteria, you can also ask the buyer to remove it -- within 60 days of the date of feedback -- or leave a response explaining your side of the situation.
