How to Create Extra Income at Home
Earning extra money from the comfort of your home gives you a way to make your spare time pay off and put some cash in your pocket. When you look for ways to make extra income, avoid offers that require you to pay a fee or buy something to get started. These are often scammers looking to make some extra income off of your desire to do so, too.
Get Creative
Get creative and offer your services on sites such as Fiverr (https://www.fiverr.com/), where you make $5 each time someone buys from you. You can get paid for everything from drawing a picture or singing a jingle to making a small personalized item. Setting up your ad is free. Just create a description of what you do and upload photos and videos if you have any available. Fiverr pays you via PayPal after the customer pays for your services.
If you enjoy making craft items, head to craft-oriented sites such as Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/) and ArtFire (http://www.artfire.com/) to sell what you make. Both sites offer tools to set up a webpage that showcases your work. ArtFire charges a monthly fee but no commissions when you sell an item. Etsy charges a small fee for each craft you list and also takes a small percentage of each craft you sell.
Give Your Opinion
Turn your interest in sharing your opinion into cash by completing surveys on the Internet for money. Sign up for free on survey websites, such as Mysurvey.com (https://www.mysurvey.com/) and iPoll (http://www.surveyhead.com/), and get paid for each survey you complete.
Sell Stuff
Look around your home for junk and collectibles other people might be willing to pay for. If you find enough items, hold a garage sale at your home. You can also sell items on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/) or create a free classified ad on Craigslist (http://www.craigslist.org) to attract buyers.
Once you sign up for a free seller's account on eBay, you fill out its template for each item you want to sell. You then add a thorough, honest description of the item and upload photos that show its condition and features. If you auction the item, you must decide how many days the auction runs. Alternatively, you can sell your item without any bidding. Besides a small insertion fee, eBay also takes a percentage of the total amount paid for your item with fees based on the category in which the item was listed. Payments are sent by buyers to your PayPal account.
If you have old cell phones, tablets or iPods lying around, head to the Internet to sell your electronics on sites such as uSell.com (http://www.usell.com/) or Gazelle.com (https://www.gazelle.com).
Use Your Typing Skills
If you have a computer and can quickly enter data, check with Clickworker (http://www.clickworker.com) or Axion (http://axiondata.com/employment.htm) for data entry tasks you can complete at your home. You also need a high speed Internet connection since most of the tasks are done online through the company’s website. Amazon Mechanical Turk (https://www.mturk.com/mturk/welcome) is another site that pays you to complete small tasks for a pre-set price. Another option is to apply at Quicktate (https://typists.quicktate.com/transcribers/signup) to transcribe voice mail messages, letters and audio files using its online dictation software.
Teach a Language
Become a virtual English tutor without having to set up your own website or leave home. Go to Italki.com (http://www.italki.com) to sign up and set your hourly rate after first checking out the competition’s fees. The company helps connect you with students who want to improve their speaking or writing skills. The site also collects the payment, subtracts a small fee and pays you in credits that can be exchanged for cash. You need an Internet connection and a Skype account to conduct the tutoring sessions.

How to Use Facebook Safely
Your Facebook account probably contains private information you don't want to fall into the hands of strangers, from private messages exchanged with friends to photo albums. Protect your privacy by preventing unauthorized access to your account and editing your Facebook privacy settings.
Prevent Unauthorized Access
Prevent users from logging in to your account without your consent by using a strong password and editing your Facebook security settings.
Choose a Secure Password
Malicious users employ a variety of techniques to guess your Facebook password, from trying to log in to your account using passwords based on your personal information -- such as your date of birth or maiden name -- to running scripts that try a list of hundreds or thousands of commonly used passwords in sequence. To prevent those users from successfully using such techniques to log in to your account, change your current password to a more secure one.
Tip
Secure passwords typically contain a mix of numbers and letters. In addition, they should preferably not contain common English words or words that a malicious user can easily guess. For more information about choosing a secure password, visit this page on Boston University's website.
Change your current Facebook password by visiting the General Account Settings page and clicking Edit next to Password.

How to Start an Amazon aStore
An Amazon aStore is an online store that Amazon affiliates use to promote merchandise. Affiliates incorporate the store into a website or blog. The aStore can also be a stand-alone website. An aStore can include any product for sale on Amazon. Affiliates get paid for each sale made through their store.
Join the Amazon Associates Program and become an affiliate. (See Resources for a link.)
Sign into your affiliate account and select "aStore" from the menu toolbar at the top of the page.
Select the products you want to sell in your store. You can include specific products or search by keyword for recommendations. Pick as many items as you want.
Group your items into categories. Using categories makes it easier for people to find what they want. An aStore selling women's shoes can have categories such as "boots" and "athletic." An aStore selling video games can include categories like "action" and "role playing."
Select and customize a theme. Pick the color of the page background and text. Decide which font you want to use. Optionally, name your aStore and upload a logo for the header.
Click "Finish and get link" when you're happy with your aStore. Use the link to embed the aStore into your blog or website.

How to Sign Up for an eBay Store
After meeting eligibility requirements, registered users open an eBay store by choosing a subscription level and entering a store name. Stores come with a monthly subscription fee and are best for high-volume sellers. Once you open your eBay store, you can start listing and managing your products while marketing the store to maximize profitability.
Signing Up
You need a registered eBay account and verified PayPal account connected to your eBay account to open a basic eBay store. You also need a credit card on file.
Go to Subscribe to eBay Store to register. Choose a subscription level. EBay offers three subscription types: basic, premium and anchor. Premium and anchor stores cost more per month, but the fees for each auction are lower and come with more free insertion fee listings per month. An anchor store comes with 2,500 free listings, while a basic store comes with only 150 free listings, as of publication.
Insertion fees for auctions are 25 cents for a basic store, 15 cents for a premium store and 10 cents for an anchor store. With all store types, you have the option of signing up for a monthly subscription or a yearly subscription. Committing to the full year lowers the monthly cost of the store. For example, a basic store costs $19.95 per month with a monthly agreement, or $15.95 per month with a yearly agreement.
Once you choose the type of eBay store you want, enter the name you want in the Store Name field, which becomes part of your store’s URL. Click Continue to subscribe to eBay stores.

Designing the Store
Your eBay store serves as the virtual storefront for your business. Creating a custom look for your store helps develop your brand and makes the online store look professional and appealing. The store page features a large billboard section across the top and a smaller logo image, allowing you to add custom images for your store. The store description section is another area allowing you to personalize the layout.
To edit these sections, go to My eBay and choose the Manage My Store link on the left side of the screen. Click the Change link next to the field you want to edit. EBay store users also have the option of creating listing frames with custom headers and navigation bars to develop the store’s image. To manage listing frames, click on My eBay, go to the Account tab and choose Marketing Tools. Choose the Listing Frame option at the left. After making the selected changes to the frame, click Apply.
Listing Items
You need inventory in your eBay store to look like a professional business. EBay store owners add items just like any other eBay user. Choose the Sell link on any eBay page while logged in to your account. Enter the details of the product just as you would for any auction. The products automatically appear in your eBay store.
For bulk listings, eBay provides Turbo Lister and the Selling Manager free of charge. Turbo Lister is a software download available in your eBay store that allows you to create listings while offline, which are later uploaded to eBay in one action. It also allows you to duplicate current auctions and edit listings.
Selling Manager is an eBay store online tool used to track auctions and manage listings. Once you create auctions through My eBay or Turbo Lister, you can use Selling Manager to relist items or list similar items. Selling Manager Pro costs extra but allows you to make templates to create new listings.
Running the Store
Opening an eBay store allows you to manage your inventory easily from the store page, but it still takes work to get the store off the ground. Use the featured items option to promote your most appealing inventory. When visitors go to your eBay store, those are the items they’ll notice first. Go to the Manage Your Store link under My eBay to select featured items. EBay offers tools to promote your store, including email marketing to customers who subscribe and buttons to share on social networks, such as Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook. To use these promotional tools, go to the Account tab under My eBay and choose Marketing Tools.
How to Get in the Top 10 Web Search Engines
Getting your website to appear in the top 10 search engines on the Web will ensure you bring in more traffic and readers or customers. Search engine optimization, commonly known as SEO, comprises ways to implement specific techniques to improve your ranking among the top search engines. It is favored among webmasters because it does not require a financial investment, but it can take a bit of time to implement and does not always affect search results immediately. The top 10 search engines as of October, 2010, based on percentage of hits, are: Google, Yahoo!, Bing, Ask, AOL Search, AltaVista, Fast, Gigablast, Netscape Search and Snap.com.
Select relevant keywords that apply to your website topic. Use phrases of at least two words in your content and use them frequently to increase your chances of search engine crawlers picking up the content.
Place these keywords in the HTML title tags for a better chance of recognition. Only use two or three phrases. More is not always better for keywords. Place the keywords close to the top of the page. The title is the best place to have the keywords. Avoid tables, which can push relevant content further down the page.
Establish what you are going to use for your target phrase, which is what your site or page is primarily about. Use similar keywords to your target phrase. For example, if your page is about "computer specifications," you may want to use words such as "specifics" or "specs" in the content as a focus for your keywords, but also be certain to use the phrase itself throughout the page.
Avoid using frames because search engines will not be able to read the text in them. Create a site map for your page -- a page that includes all the links on your website in one, easy-to-find location. A search engine can easily pick this up and index all the linked pages. Use your keywords in the site map as well, ensuring that the links use the terms as much as possible. Use relevant words. Avoid using terms that have absolutely nothing to do with the content on a page simply for the link text.
Associate yourself with individuals who have websites with similar content. Join groups or message boards that relate to your topic. Contact other site owners through e-mail or a forum message and ask them if they would be interested in a link exchange, where you place a link to their website on your page and they do the same for you.
Submit your completed pages to each search engine manually. An automatic detection may be easier but increases the chances of mistakes happening. Only submit two or three main pages on your site or you may get targeted for search engine spamming and be penalized heavily. Most, but not all, search engines have a site where you can submit your site link to be listed with them through a simple form.

How to Earn Money Blogging
Earning money by blogging provides many challenges to online entrepreneurs. It's not as easy as posting a few articles and checking your bank account. You must pick a topic or niche, design your blog and develop an audience. Bloggers wanting to earn money must diversify their portfolios using many different avenues such as affiliate partnerships, ad revenue and selling a product. It takes a lot of work, time, luck and traffic to become a successful blogger with money in the bank.
Sign up for advertising sites like Google AdSense, Chitika or Kontera to add advertising links to your blog. When one of your readers clicks on the link, money is paid into your account. Never click on your own links.

You'll need an established blog with several blog posts to qualify for most affiliate partnerships. Whenever someone clicks an affiliate link on your website and purchases a product from your affiliate partner, you receive a commission.
Sell advertising spots on your blog to companies. Once you have incoming traffic and growing popularity, approach companies that fit with your blog topic. Offer advertising space on your website for a specific monthly price. This type of advertising differs from a program like Google AdSense, which only pays when someone clicks. Selling ad revenue guarantees monthly income.

Turn your blog into an e-book. Companies such as Amazon, Apple and Smashwords allow authors to self-publish their work on their electronic platforms. Assemble your blog content into an e-book using their formatting guidelines. Advertise your e-book to your blog traffic and on your social media networks to generate sales.
Sell your own products on your blog. Technology bloggers may want to sell WordPress templates or their own programming applications. Sell your expertise using a membership site. Fashion bloggers with craft experience can create crafts, jewelry and clothing to sell. Figure out what your skills are and sell them on your website.
How to Make Money Selling Tickets Online
Popular concert and sporting event tickets that sell out are great opportunities for making profit with little start-up money. Here's how.
Research what tickets are going on sale soon. Google, Ticketmaster, and presaletoday.com are great places to do this.
Find out what events are going to sell out. The highly-marketed concerts on Ticketmaster (Britney Spears, U2, ACDC) usually sell out. Significant sporting events are usually guaranteed to sell out (world series, NCAA March Madness, Red Sox vs Yankees, etc.) A lot of events require entering a lottery to be eligible for tickets; enter as many of these as possible. Also look for big artists performing at small venues, such as Jay Z doing a one night show at a club in Boston- supply and demand for a huge name at a tiny venue is great for a ticket reseller.
Buy the tickets. This will usually be on Ticketmaster. Popular onsale times are 10:00 am on Friday and Saturdays. Some events offer presales that require you to have a password to get access to tickets before the general public. Presaletoday.com often provides these passwords.Get there early and refresh on the buy page right before the start time.
Download different browsers! Ticketmaster doesn't allow more than one transaction simultaneously, but you can do this if you use different browsers. Download Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer. Three chances at tickets is better than one.
Sell the tickets. Listing on Stubhub is very easy and so is pricing your tickets effectively. Use Ebay if you need your money back right away, because there you can get instant payment via PayPal, whereas Stubhub doesn't pay you until the buyer receives the tickets.
Remember to keep records and avoid losses. Setting up a simple spreadsheet on Excel is a great way to track what you have sold and for what price. Sometimes you may have been wrong about the supply and demand of the tickets and have to sell at a loss. This is okay, just make sure to at least SELL THE TICKETS. Every positive feedback on Ebay is worth something.
Take advantage of moving money and product. Look into finding a credit card that gives rewards for spending money. This can be a great benefit on top of the profits you make buying and selling the tickets.

Research and find out where to go. Making money on YouTube isn't as complicated as most people imagine, and you don't even have to sell anything with your ad. For example, YouTube has a tool especially for advertisers called the "InVideo" application.

YouTube is one of the most popular websites on the Internet that allows users to submit and share their own home videos with millions of viewers across the world. Many YouTube users post videos for fun and do not receive compensation, but there are several ways to potentially earn income with a YouTube channel.
YouTube Partners
One way that YouTube users earn money with their channels is through the YouTube partner program. Users with very popular channels that produce high-quality content on a regular basis may be contacted by YouTube to join the partner program. YouTube partners share a portion of the revenue generated from advertisements that appear in conjunction with their videos. The New York Times reports that popular YouTube producers can make $15,000 or more a month in revenues from the partner program.
Partnership on Individual Videos
Gaining enough popularity to become a YouTube partner can take years of effort, and many YouTube producers will never achieve full partner status. YouTube does, however, offer partnerships for individual viral videos. For instance, if you are not a regular YouTube content provider, but you happen to film something interesting or funny on YouTube that ends up getting tens of thousands or millions of views, YouTube might contact you and allow you to gain ad revenue based on that single popular video.
External Websites
Another way YouTube producers generate income is by using their YouTube channels to promote their own external websites. An external website can contain more original video content or information pages with advertisements that generate revenue. A website can also serve as a means to sell products. For example, a popular YouTube produce could sell T-shirts on his website featuring his YouTube channel's logo and advertise the shirts in the videos he creates.
Considerations
A YouTube channel can potentially generate income for users in many other ways. For example, a YouTube a private company might contact a YouTube producer to make videos to promote its products or services. Some YouTube videos contain links that allow viewers to quickly purchase songs they hear on YouTube from iTunes.

How to Earn Multiple Income Streams of $5.00 a Day
Five dollars a day doesn't sound like much if you want to make money online. It can buy a cheap fast food meal or maybe a fancy gourmet coffee every morning. However, if you multiply $5.00 by 30 days that is $150 a month in extra income, maybe enough to pay a few bills.
If you were to earn multiple income streams of $5.00 a day you would have a decent amount of income coming in each and every month. And the best part is, by having multiple income streams you don't have to worry if one of them stop earning.

Find a mentor. Check out forums on places such as eHow and Wahm.com and after a while you will get an idea who the successful earners are. Chances are they have a blog with plenty of followers.

Stay in your comfort zone-sort of. I know that many will disagree but if you join something that makes you uncomfortable then you are setting yourself up for failure. For example, if you are uncomfortable at the prospect of cold calling then sales wouldn't be for you. However, once you do find something that you enjoy then you will be more willing to step out of your comfort zone.
Set attainable goals. Start with one project that is proven to earn money and stay with it until you consistently earn five dollars a day. Once you are consistently earning five dollars a day move on to another project.
Keep older projects updated. You may have several niche blogs each earning $5.00 a day but you still need to update them. While most of your attention is going to be on your current projects you want to schedule a little time each week maintaining your past projects.
Don't give up. Residual income takes time to build. For example, if you write for eHow you may start by earning a pennies a day. However, as you keep writing and build a nice library of how-to articles you may find that after a while those pennies start turning into dollars.
